The Woodlands Pavilion is Back!
Frank Sinatra was the featured singer at the official launch of the first season in 1990. And for those who missed Ol’ Blue Eyes, there is a good chance that they have been there since to catch one or more of the hundreds of performances at the Cynthia Mitchell Woods Pavilion (CWMP).
The pavilion has been host to hundreds of singers and their bands – from Bette Midler and Elton John, to Britney Spears and Clint Black. The Moody Blues, Jimmy Buffet, and a few others play there almost every year, as well as special events such as Buzzfest, and the Houston Symphony. 2009 Concert Schedule at the Pavilion 2010 Concerts at the Pavilion
The Woodlands Pavilion continually ranks among the top 5 in the world for ticket sales and the featured performers are only part of the reason. The outdoor amphitheater is nestled in The Woodlands Texas, a stone’s throw from several hotels, the woodlands waterway fountains, market street shopping center, and several restaurants. The 2009 season was kicked off on May 1st with the Dave Matthews Band and the music will play on with Kenny Chesney, Buzzfest, Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd, New Kids on the Block, Motley Crue, the Houston Symphony and many, many more. The season runs through late October, provided the area does not suffer another Hurricane as we did in 2008.

CWMP went through a major upgrade just before the 2009 season, due to Hurricane Ike and now enjoys a larger covered seating area with an additional 2,000 seats. Pavilion Upgrades 2009
