The police at The Waterway harass pretty much anyone out of the ordinary. I’ve heard numerous stories of them harassing photographers as well.

I’m glad to see there’s other traceurs out there that feel the same way! I’m 100% confident that the only reason this is happening is because of a misunderstanding on what parkour truly is. I’m doing everything I can to get our art accepted with law enforcement here. Here’s to hoping that between these articles and talking to some of the people in charge, we can change the way things are seen.

This is going to be amazing! Many years I would “illegally” do parkour only to have mall cops and security guards harass me for doing what made me content, instead of getting the people that were smoking weed, and doing drugs or actually causing problems.so I am so blown away by this.

Word is that it is still going to get done, but not in The Woodlands Township. Some other community – maybe even very, very close – will see the economic benefit.

There are several different Villages in The Woodlands, each with their own individual sections/neighborhoods and they of course vary in age and price range. My family (early 30′s ) and my 3 year old was wondering if you have any suggestions on family neighborhoods or a good location to look in . Definitely sounds like you are not neutral and lean towards not having another event in The Woodlands. If you look at how our community has been developed, it is focused around getting outside and being active. Look at the quantity of trails and park, and the dollars spent by Parks and Pathways budget. It is a generally fit community, that seeks events such as these ( hense all of the sold out events hosted ). Approve it. Host it. Support it.
